How to Shoot a Soccer Ball

How to Shoot a Soccer Ball

Before the Shot

(1)When you shoot a soccer ball, you want to have your plant foot approximately six inches to the side of the ball.

2)Make sure that your toe is completely flexed down to the ground like a ballerina's toe.

3)To shoot the ball low and hard, make sure you are leaning more forward. To shoot the ball higher, lean back just a little bit.

4)You want to make sure that your kicking knee is directly above the ball before contact.

After Contact

1)For the most power and precision possible, make sure you land on your kicking foot and that your plant foot is aiming towards the target.

Contact

1)For maximum power, kick the ball with laces of your foot, which is where the hard, pointy bone of your foot is located.

2)Be sure not to lift your head up to quickly during contact with the ball, or you might lose sight of the sweetspot of the ball.

3)To kick the ball low and hard, hit the top of the ball. To kick the ball high and soft, hit under the ball.
